If you work, you would need 2 duffle bags with your supplies. One you would leave at the office in case the water bag breaks there. The other at home, in case baby decides to get out while you are at home. Both bags should contain the essentials for your stay in the hospital.
By right, the hospital should provide you with those hospital clothes, but sometimes, the delivery of supplies may be delayed. I got mine the day after I gave birth. Mean while, I was forced to rely on what I had brought with me. The hospital should care for the baby which means diapers and the baby essentials would be taken care of by the hospital during your stay.

So what should you bring in your duffle bag?
I"d suggest the following comforts to make your stay more pleasant.
- A spare change of clothing, nightgown to sleep in and clothes you can wear when you finally leave the hospital with your baby.
- 6 sets of underwear (nursing bras if you intend to breastfeed). Expect around 3 days of stay there if there are no complications.
- A sweater for you and a baby s blanket for your baby. The hospital airconditioning may get cold even if the weather outside may be hot. In cold weather, get all your warm clothing with you and a blanket for the baby.
- Baby clothes for newborns. At least one set for going home in, another blanket for baby"s home coming. Spare sets might come in useful in the hospital. You never know.
- A bath towel for yourself and two face towels. One to wash your face in, the other to use as a compress in case of milk engorgement.
- A mug or a water bottle to hold your drinks.
- Comb, tooth brush and tooth paste
- Cleanser, toner, moisturizer and shower essentials for yourself.
- Your vitamin supplements or whatever you might be taking daily.
- Bedroom slippers.
These duffle bags should be large enough to hold your supplies.
